Importing Problem 720p 60fps footage

Hi,
I've been filming with my GoPro on 1080p 30fps for a while now.
I decided to use more slowmotion in my movie so I started filming in 720p 60fps.
The problem is that I can't Import my 720p 60fps footage.
When I try to do it I get this message :
--> File Error : 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown.
Can someone help me out please.
Thanks.

But I can't change the fact that my GoPro delivers MP4 files.
No, you can't. Nor can DSLR shooters change the fact that the cameras shoot h.264...but that isn't an editing codec either. What you need to do is CONVERT the footage to ProRes in order to work with it in FCP error free. And yes, the files will get larger. That's the tradoff to working with good solid high quality editing codecs.
So what is the best way to convert the MP4 files without losing any quality?
Compressor...free, you have it.
MPEG STREAMCLIP...free, you can download it.
